I’m Dr Steve Lyons.  I have had meteorology careers with the US Navy, the private sector, the National Weather Service, The Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory at Princeton University, worked at the National Hurricane Center, spend 12 hurricane seasons on The Weather Channel as their hurricane expert, been a professor at Texas A&M University and the University of Hawaii and have consulted on weather & waves forecasts with various companies around the world; from the south tip of Argentina, to Hawaii to the West Pacific and across the Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea. I know waves, I know hurricanes (tropical cyclones) and I know weather and climate.  This page is my chance to give back, share with you what I have learned over the years.  I hope you enjoy my blogs and answers to your questions.  Sincerely, Dr. Steve
